QUESTION INDEX

Common Study questions now route to the canonical explainer.

This URL is preserved for teams who already have it. The maintained public explanation now lives in How a Study Works, with legal, privacy, security, and processing details kept in the dedicated public supporting pages.

01 · Product overview

How does a Teho Study work?

For the full public explanation of scope, approved work signals, privacy thresholds, optional evidence, and final reporting.

Read the canonical How a Study Works explainer. It replaces the older long-form Q&A as the maintained public product explanation.

What it covers

  • Study boundary and business question.
  • Approved work signals and optional evidence paths.
  • How patterns graduate into reportable evidence.

Core promise

  • Teho studies the work system, not the worker.
  • Only repeated, privacy-safe work patterns become evidence.
02 · Privacy and capture

What is captured, excluded, retained, and reported?

For privacy reviewers, People teams, and employee representatives who need the public posture.

Study capture is governed by the agreed boundary. Out-of-scope activity is excluded from the evidence base, and deployment-specific controls define what is technically blocked before capture.

Useful language

  • Approved work signals are used to understand patterns, not personal histories.
  • Screenshot, semantic, or LLM-enabled paths are deployment-specific.

Not produced

  • No individual productivity scores.
  • No rankings, leaderboards, pace metrics, or supervisor-facing activity feeds.
03 · Data processing

Where does data go, and who are the subprocessors?

For procurement, InfoSec, legal, and security reviewers.

The Activity Analysis baseline is UK-hosted. Deployment-specific subprocessors, data categories, regions, transfer mechanisms, retention settings, and optional evidence paths are named before contract signature.

Deployment materials

  • Subprocessor schedule.
  • Data-flow and retention summary.
  • Capture policy and Privacy Guard manifest.

Important caveat

  • Optional evidence and model paths are not active unless agreed for that Study.
  • Final contractual wording lives in the MSA and DPA.
04 · Coverage and reporting

What does the final readout represent?

For sponsors who want to understand what the Work Profile Map can and cannot represent.

The readout shows time, cost, and opportunity signals for the team patterns Teho can safely evidence. Some real activity may be excluded, suppressed, emerging, low-confidence, or outside the observation window, so the picture is useful without pretending to be complete.

How to interpret gaps

  • Missing slices are not proof the work did not happen.
  • Coverage limits are a privacy property, not a defect to hide.

Employment decisions

  • Teho outputs support work redesign.
  • Employment decisions and governance actions remain accountable human decisions.
